With a façade and roof listed as "Historical Monuments" in the Renaissance style, this 17th century monument was initially the Carmelite Church adjoining the convent, then a food store and finally an inn, before becoming a theater.
The theater first opened its doors to the public in 1904 following the city's purchase of the building in 1902. It hosted its first performance on July 3 and 4, 1904. Mayor Fernand Larnaude inaugurated the building and congratulated the architects Damière, Gervais, and Corau. Around 1935, the Condom Theater was remodeled to incorporate a cinema. Until 1940, the cinema-theater was sold out for every performance.

Today, the theater is open to the public for performances.
