Body of water and island of Gauge

Built at the foot of the Baïse River, the town of Condom is fortunate to benefit from an exceptional natural space just a stone's throw from the town center.
Gauge Lakes and Gauge Island offer outdoor recreation areas (fishing, canoeing, mini-golf, fitness trail, table tennis, skate park...), but also opportunities to discover nature.

Located between the Gauge lock and its (navigable) canal, and the Baïse river, its waterfall and its mill, the Gauge island offers a preserved natural space included in the "Un Grand Vert d'Armagnac" collection. .

Its fauna and flora are presented to you on discovery panels, very close to the premises of the leisure center.
The riverside vegetation called riparian forest provides shelter and food for many species. Grab your binoculars and cameras, here, between the birds, orchids and meadow insects, there is so much to observe, listen to and see!
Don't have any observation equipment with you? Don't panic! Go to the Tourist Office to rent the "Clés des Champs" adventurer's bag: the musette (5 euros per day).
