Medieval tower rooms - Albinhac Tower

At the end of the 15th century, the Counts of Armagnac reigned over the region, their territory extending to the borders of Gers (Termes d'Armagnac). Their power and wealth made their capital (Lectoure) a prosperous and envied city.

The nobles and families of local influence have every interest in being present here. They will build Tower Rooms, dungeons which will also serve as homes.

Visible from the main street, the Albinhac Tower, now converted into a restaurant, offers an almost intact example of this medieval heritage.
