Presentation

As you approach the entrance to the village, you can see the gate tower, which has become the church tower, and the entire fortified town.

In the 13th century, Bishop Géraud de Monlezun (to whom we owe most of the Lectoure cathedral) built the medieval fortress, in the form, for once, of Château Gascon.

Many examples still exist today, few are in the state of conservation of this one. You will be able to tour it without any problem. The interior is accessible to you as part of the Tourist Office visits (a few dates not to be missed).

Theme(s) : historical heritage, castle, fortified castle, tower, town/village, street.
