Presentation

This visitor site blends the history of Gascon peasantry up to the 20th century with the know-how of the various trades.
Housed in a former public school, the museum contains agricultural tools donated by residents of Fourcès, and also displays everyday objects.
This place serves as a platform for intergenerational exchanges.
The exhibition is enhanced by the creation and animation of miniature scenes of peasant life: the harvest and threshing of wheat and the grape harvest. These are brought to life by handmade automata (objects, clothing, etc.) created by Mr. and Mrs. Muffato.

The work and upgrading to transform this municipal building were financed by the town hall, the department (participatory budget) and the Occitanie region. As for the museography, it was taken care of by the Arrebiscoula association (renaissance in old Gascon), and whose spearhead is the enhancement of the Fourcèsien heritage, the maintenance and preservation of the village, thanks to the organization of various events such as the famous flower market.

The visit is free. However, a voluntary contribution is appreciated for the upkeep of the premises.
The exhibition route includes a few steps to be taken into consideration by people with reduced mobility.
