Coursiana Gardens

It is in Gascony, on one of the Gers roads to Santiago de Compostela, that the 6 ha of the Coursiana Gardens (Remarkable Garden) extend, facing the Collegiate Church of Romieu which is displayed here in full-size panorama nature.

The arboretum was created in 1974 by Gilbert Cours-Darne, an eminent botanist who received the Olivier de Serres prize in 1995 (the highest distinction of the Academy of Agriculture).
In 1995, Véronique and Arnaud Delannoy became owners and renovated everything (buildings, plum trees, creation of gardens, etc.). The Coursiana gardens are born and compose at the gates of the picturesque village of Romieu, a plant ensemble of great beauty. You are invited to discover:
- the arboretum and its 700 rare species of trees and shrubs from 5 continents including a national collection of lime trees of more than 60 different species.
- the English garden surrounding the old stone family house and its dovecote.
- the garden of medicinal, aromatic and perfume plants, created in 2001.
- the family vegetable garden.
A fun and educational nature walk where you can play with Mother Nature by answering questions about her favorite fruits, plants and trees. Questionnaires for adults and children.

Other services: introduction to plants (games), picnic possible, snack by appointment for groups, reception room and point of sale: prunes, sorbet made from garden fruits, honey, jams.
