The College of Doctrinaires was initially an educational establishment, founded in 1630 in Lectoure in Gascony.

The building was transformed into an annex to the city hospital in 180. After the closure of the hospital in 2006, it was rehabilitated in 2018 to be transformed into a hotel which benefits from direct access, via an underground passage crossing the rue Nationale, at the Hôtel de Goulard where the Lectoure thermal baths are located. On this occasion it will regain its former name, the Hôtel du Collège des Doctrinaires, opened in 2019.
