Notice to the Festayres! It is here, in Condom, that the south-west feria season begins with the famous Bandas y Peñas Festival!
Every year, on the second weekend of May, thousands of festival-goers come to enjoy the atmosphere of the South-West ferias at the Bandas y Peñas Festival. This festival honors these musical brass groups, which enliven the streets of the city for three days in “red and white”.

Nico Pulcrano For 50 years, the 2nd weekend of May, from Friday to Sunday evening, the town of Condom resonates to the rhythm of Bandas music typical of the southwest, but also pop-rock music with concerts by French and international.
The Bandas de Condom is above all a music competition which brings together more than 30 bands from France and Europe who wish to win the Palm d'Or trophy and/or the supreme title of Champion of France.
A Junior meeting and a Creation competition complete these musical moments rich in sharing and creativity, a true living heritage of the Gers. With its 2 musicians in the city, it is the largest gathering of brass and percussion instruments in the southwest of France!
Experience the feria spirit in the historic heart of Condom dressed in red and white, with the bandas street scene, the welcoming bodega and various events such as the unique giant paquito in the central square on Saturday afternoons.
Everyone has their own festive mode: sitting on the stands or chairs facing the different podiums spread around the enclosure so as not to miss a single band, or in street mode behind your favorite groups. Everyone will find something to suit their needs!
Enjoy this unique atmosphere of brass bands and street shows until the early morning, within a secure enclosure in the heart of the ancient episcopal city. Fun fair, Petit Festayre bodega, Landes race and 5-a-side Touch'Rubgy match complete the festive offering.
Don't miss the awards ceremony on Sunday at 17:30 p.m.! Between tradition and modernity, the Bandas y Peñas Festival aims to be the symbol of a living Gascon culture.
The Festival is eco-responsible and is committed to the renewal of returnable glasses, selective sorting of waste, carpooling, bus shuttles, etc.
It also affirms its commitment to safety with the Label Fête; 30 facilitators distribute breathalyzers and hearing protection to festival-goers.
