Presentation

NEW! Two days of practical technical and choreographic training (from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m.) are offered, drawing inspiration from the fundamentals of the Nikolaïs method, with a presentation on the last day.

Hosted by Maëva LEBRUN, choreographer and artistic director of Modern'Pulse Dance Company.

Maëva LEBRUN is a dancer and choreographer with Modern'Pulse Dance Company. Trained at the James Carlès Dance Center, with a background of diverse influences (both jazz and contemporary), she returns to the Abbaye de Flaran to honor the Nikolaïs method that led her to dance to offer a choreographic composition workshop on the theme of "Dance and Architecture."

In 2001, Gérard Lafbuste, who trained at the National Center for Contemporary Dance in Angers, where he was a student of Nikolaïs, gave his last workshop in Flaran: as his student, Maëva had attended the workshop. Gérard Lafbuste developed dance at the Abbaye de Flaran for years.
What Maëva learned during this course has nourished her entire career as a dancer and teacher beyond any style.
In 2025, she has therefore decided to return to where it all began and share in turn what she hopes will also be of great richness for you...
