The Les Orages performance hall, located in Lectoure in the former tannery, presents a play. One myth, one actor, twenty-seven characters, three crowds, and a ram. Rediscover the Odyssey as you've never seen it before!
"When you think about it, this whole story started because of an apple..."
Ulysses is finally returning home, after ten years of war and another ten years of wandering and captivity among immortal nymphomaniacs. He has weathered storms, encountered monsters, giants, and cyclopes, been dragged to the underworld by the gods, and had to contend with companions each more idiotic than the last. And now, he's had enough!
On his return journey, he recounts his misfortunes to his hosts, who, moved by his story, help him reach the shores of beloved Ithaca. But has Penelope waited for him? What has become of her son Telemachus? And who are all these men squatting in her palace?
Through twenty-seven characters, three crowds and a ram, Camille Prioul revisits the Odyssey in his own way in a storm of laughter, anger, fear and, at its core, melancholy…
Only Ulysses' love for his Penelope matters, regardless of the years, "because we are mortal, because I belong to her and she belongs to me, and we only have one life to be together."
