D.Viet/CRT OccitanieCistercian Abbey of Flaran
Valence-sur-Baise
This contemporary installation brings a luminous resonance to this space steeped in the history of the Abbey.
Visible from July 5th to September 20th.
Rémi Groussin!
The mystery artwork is on display in the contemporary art network of Gers.
In partnership with Memento espace départemental art contemporain and Chemins d'Art en Armagnac.
Temporary installation:
Rémi Groussin, born in Lille in 1987, trained at the Toulouse School of Fine Arts before becoming a teacher at the Toulouse National School of Architecture. His artistic approach involves reusing materials to create installations. He notably uses neon signs, now replaced by LEDs, and assembles them into vibrant and fragile light installations.
Summer 2026, Remi Groussin presents a work at Flaran as well as at Memento.
The feeling of intensity (2026):
This original artwork was conceived and exhibited for the 15th edition of Chemins d'art en Armagnac in June 2026. Since then, it has traveled to Flaran. It was created from materials salvaged by the artist: neon lights and metal tubes. Assembled, they form a luminous installation, like a surprising apparition within the Cistercian architecture of the abbey, colorful but not flashy, its imperfection embraced.
The exhibition is open in July and August from 10am to 19pm and in September from 9:30am to 12:30pm and from 14pm to 18pm.
