In the responses to my survey on the heatwave, several difficulties came up very often: difficulty sleeping, significant fatigue, feeling slowed down, lack of energy, heavy legs, more complicated recovery, difficulty concentrating.
Some people also described shorter, shallower breathing, a feeling of being short of breath, or the need to sigh more.
This internship was built based on this feedback.
During periods of intense heat, the body must make a significant effort to regulate itself. Sleep, digestion, energy, respiration, and the nervous system can all be severely affected. The aim of this workshop is to better understand these reactions and to discover practical strategies for coping more effectively during heat waves.
During this day, we will notably cover:
– to understand why the heat is so tiring;
– promote sleep and recovery;
– learn simple breathing exercises to regain more calm and a feeling of inner freshness;
– adapt your diet and pace during periods of heat;
– discover some simple self-massage techniques and points to soothe the body;
– to build a routine that can be used daily, during the day, evening and night.
The respiratory component will draw primarily on my experience in functional breathing and the Oxygen Advantage® approach, of which I am an Advanced Instructor. The principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine will also allow us to address heat from the perspectives of energy, digestion, sleep, and adapting to one's lifestyle.
Who is leading this workshop?
I am Julien Tatin, an acupuncturist in Lectoure and an advanced Oxygen Advantage® instructor. I support individuals with health, stress, sleep, breathing, recovery, and daily body balance. My approach combines Chinese medicine, functional breathing, lifestyle principles, and practical tools to be gradually integrated.
I also work with companies through Tatin Performance Lab, focusing on stress management, recovery, concentration, fatigue prevention and sustainable performance.
